Using wearable devices, this study aimed to evaluate the accuracy of heart rate measurement during resistance exercise at varying intensities. In this cross-sectional study, 29 participants, encompassing 16 females and aged between 19 and 37 years, were involved. Participants engaged in five resistance exercises, including the barbell back squat, barbell deadlift, dumbbell curl to overhead press, seated cable row, and burpees. Heart rate monitoring was carried out concurrently during the exercises, utilizing the Polar H10, Apple Watch Series 6, and the Whoop 30.
